The Warmonger club presents their first
WARHAMMER FANTASY BATTLES TOURNAMENT OF 2008 When - Saturday, March 15th, 2008. Arrive at 10:30am to set up your army; the tournament itself will start at 11:00am sharp! If you are late you will *lose* game time. Where - The Compleat Strategist, 11 East 33 Street, New York, NY 10016. Tickets are $15.00; you may purchase them in person at the Compleat Strategist or by calling them at 212.685.3880 and pay via credit card. Space is limited (20 players) so sign of soon! Who - The tournament is open to all players ages 18 and up. How - Bring an army of no more than 2,000 points to participate in a 3-game Warhammer Fantasy Battles Tournament using the 7th edition rules. • All variant* and appendix army lists from the Warhammer Army & Campaign books, White Dwarf, Warhammer Chronicles, The Citadel Journal, the GW website and the Warmonger club** website may be used. *Note that variant armies that no longer work because of 7th edition army books making them obsolete may not be used. As a result the following army lists from Storm of Chaos may not be used: The Army of Middenland, Grimgor's 'Ardboyz, The Army of Sylvania. ** Details coming soon at www.warmongerclub.com. • Thorek Ironbrow's 'Assistant at the forge' special rule only works Once Per Game. See Warhammer Armies: Dwarfs for details. • The 7th edition army book of Warhammer Armies: Vampire Counts will be released on the 6th of March; this book MUST be used if fielding a Vampire Counts army. • Players will be judged on army composition, painting and sportsmanship, in addition to their battle points for playing games. The break down of these point and exactly how they will be scored will NOT be revealed before or during the tournament - so don't worry about it! Simply bring an army you wish to play with and have fun! • Players that include a Special Character in their army will gain a +1 point bonus to their overall score. Hello! i want to participate in this tournament but i live up in Albany so i want to come down and stay a night in a hotel. Are there any affordable lodging
locations in the area (>$100) that is nearby?

to be honest i was hoping to come down from Albany for this tourney, i am originally a DABOYZ player from Rochester and it seems like both clubs have two
different playing styles, both of which seem as fun as the other. either way i am sure i will still be able to make it down and get back into the hobby after
the recent move.

Hi- usually comp is opponent scored, 1-5. Our club typically brings medium/hard builds, but never OTT stuff. (No 14 chariots, 14 PD stuff) I believe we have
one or two DL armies that may show, some weak wood elf armies, weak empire lists... hope that helps.

I'll be playing with a nasty Khorne Demon Legion, so I won't mind too much about whatever you bring.
I meant to ask about the tournament signup on Thursday but I forgot completely, this Thursday is Valentine's Day... I'll probably call and register soon... |
