It's probably fucking selfish to say, as he was a young guy and a talented actor with a young child, but the brilliance of Ledger's performance really
brings home the tragedy of his death for the rest of us. Can you imagine how much we'd be drooling for the next installment if he were still around?

Well, that's what he gets for being a crackhead.

Nidal, it was an accidental overdose of prescription meds. no crack or anything similar involved.

Come on now. You buy that story? I'm sure it wasn't crack. And I'm sure it was accidental (well, you never know.. like with Owen Wilson). But
I'd bet my disposable income that it was recreational-gone-bad.

Actually, I read that playing the Joker was really taking it's toll on him, physically & mentally. He didn't tell his doctor what he was currently
taking. No mixy the mojo!

SPOILERS....
Overall I thought it was a pretty good film but the production values were iffy at time (the bat-bike was very disapointing and the mall/blow up cars sequence pathetic). I liked the part on the ferries but somewhat obvious (both who's who in the tower and what happens to the detonators.) Other sequences too just weren't as good as the first incarnations. Acting was really good although the love interest isn't that interesting (but better than Cruise's wife!) I'd give it 3 1/2 stars. |

A good film for sure, but I would not give it top scores like everyone else.
Best scenes were with the Joker. Bale sounds ridiculous to me with that raspy, 'dark' voice - just talk normal please. I say bring back Adam West!! Two-Face looked great and the whole story like was good. Hey can anyone tell me, at the start of the movie was that actually Scarecrow? Or a pretender? If it was the real Scarecrow was it the same actor? Thanks, Kevin out

I think it was the same dude, though I haven't the faintest why he was in this movie at all.

it was him. Agreed, he was not needed.

Well, I was confused with because, there were fake, pretender Batmans in the same scene. So I could not figure out if the Scarecrow was the real scarecrow or a
fake!

It was definitely Cillian Murphy. I thought it was cool, because I liked him in the first movie. I think it was just a small piece of fan service, and a
reminder that he's still out there, possibly for use in the third film. Maybe they're planning to enlarge his role in that one with Ledger gone?

I don't think that Scarecrow had been caught at the end of Batman Begins. (Either that or he had escaped from the Archam again!)
He had done a "drug" deal with the Mob and they were not happy with the quality of his goods. When the copycat Batmen showed up to "foil" the drug deal the real Batman showed up and corralled everyone: the bad guys, the Scarecrow and the copycats. |

The best sequels are when they use elements of the first film to connect them, I thought is was so awesome that Scarecrow was in there, just the scene was a little confusing for me - I need to see it again, thanks for the explanation Dave!
