Is this only in the Canadian FAQ?
If so, then I'll let the Canadian's worry about it. I'll play things according to the FAQ from the U.S. site, unless I'm playing in Canada. |

Ok... whatever. I think it's better like this than "normal initiative/great-weapon/etc. other than charging".
Keep it uber-simple is fine.

It seems very strange to me that once granted ASF all other factors don't apply except initiative order. Two High Elves one with great weapon would end up
dicing it off? Puzzling. I guess Elves don't "feel" the weight of weapons like the rest of us do.

Well that blows. It means that even if you have ASF through a spell and charge a high elf they STILL get to strike first with great weapons because of their I
stat. How hard would it be to say that all models with ASF resolve all of their combats in the same manner as the normal rules for striking order, then all
models without ASF do the usual sequence. No mess there either.

lousy, I'm glad GW at least got to "good".

In all honesty, I didn't really care if it was Initiative order or charging/GW, but I am just glad that there is a standardized way of doing ASF vs ASF.

So if you give a cast a spell on a unit of high elves that makes them strike first in the next round of combat, is their ASF cumulative? as the unit would be
ASF twice! - think about that!

Why would a magic spell take precedence over abilities? If dragon armor potects you from flaming attacks, a magical fireball certainly doesn't hurt the
wearer of the armor. Magical ASF doesn't beat out natural ASF. Your only legitimate argument would be that ASFX2 is greater than ASFX1. I'm not buying
that, since charging lets you strike first, and ASF vs. ASF cancels out charging bonuses.
